#mydriver

This is hard.

I want to ride the fence.

I want to waffle.

I want to be soft.

I actually have even more than 5 guys that I will sort of pull for.

But I have five #mydrivers. Martin Truex, Jr., Austin Dillon, Ty Dillon, Bubba Wallace, and Jeffrey Earnhardt. I’m not even certain about MTJ. But my Dad likes him, and my Dad has good taste. So, he’s sort of on the bubble. I won’t buy his stuff, well, maybe a diecast.

I really like the idea of the 3 and the 43 and the 9 all being competitive on the track. I’m terrified that Austin Dillon might not be competitive. I REALLY like Ty Dillon as a “dude”. He understands that people are struggling to connect with drivers, and he’s trying to do something about that with his vlog.

I think Bubba Wallace is awesome, and I’m glad he’s driving, and I’m glad he’s good. I’m also glad he’s driving for Richard Petty, because maybe it can help deflect some of the racial tension caused by Petty’s remarks about the NFL and the players kneeling during the anthem.

Jeffrey may not have a ride all year, I’m not sure. But I love his beard, and I like the Earnhardt name. I hope he can accomplish some good runs, but he’s just not my Big Dog #mydriver.

I have to decide before Sunday, I guess. Chase Elliott had a chance for a while, but I was always so “opposed” to Bill Elliott that I can’t betray the 3 in this equation. So, I guess, Austin Dillon is at the top of the board and Ty is right underneath, with Bubba holding 3rd place down steady. MTJ in fourth, Jeffrey in fifth.

It won’t stay that organized, and there are others that I “like” a little bit, too.

Austin Dillon it is. #3 Forever.

Don’t fail me, boy.
